Born in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Noel Falk spent most of his early years in Fairfield, Adams County. It is while living here that he developed his appreciation for creation and the out-of-doors. Noel's high school years were spent in Bucks County where he graduated from Pennridge High School. But Noel's love for Central Pennsylvania began when he enrolled at Messiah College, where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology.

Upon completion of his work at Messiah, he went to Newfoundland and his love for teaching and the natural world grew. After teaching at J.H. Olds Collegiate in Twillingate, Newfoundland, for two years, Noel received his masters degree from Shippensburg University and joined the faculty at Messiah College, Grantham, PA. He went on to The Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA, to complete his Doctorate of Education in Biological Sciences with a minor in Higher Education. Returning to Messiah, Noel served as professor of Natural History and Chairman of the Department of Natural Sciences for 18 of his 34 years. While at Messiah, he founded and served as director of the Oakes Museum of Natural History.

Noel has served as a contributing columnist for both The Patriot News and Hanover Evening Sun. His face was seen for many years on WHP-TV as host of The Plant Doctor Show and on WITF, co-hosting cooking marathons.

Noel has authored two professional publications, "Highway Right-of-Way Fences as Deer Deterrents" and "Body Burden of Lead in Pennsylvania Deer and Squirrels from Hair Analysis". His book, The Plant Doctor's Prescription for a Healthy Garden (Stackpole Publishing) continues to be a good resource for garden enthusiasts.

In 2004, Noel was asked to work for Dauphin County and is currently Director of Wildwood Park. He is also a principal in Compass Points Travel, where he works with his partner, Karen Hollinger.

He is fond of gardening, the outdoors, traveling and collecting all kinds of "stuff". He even enjoys spending time in the kitchen... both eating... and cooking! Noel enjoys chatting with folks every Saturday morning on his show.
