The survey revealed that many Pennsylvanians prefer receiving money over other gifts. Following cash, clothing and shoes are the second most popular gifts, with gift cards coming in third.
The preference for cash gifts aligns with national trends. According to Statista's survey, 40 percent of U.S. consumers expressed a desire for cash as a Christmas gift. This practical choice is favored by both men and women, although women showed a slightly higher preference for cash or bank transfers.
The survey also highlighted that Americans are expected to spend nearly $989 billion during the holiday season. This significant spending reflects the importance of gift-giving traditions in the United States.
As the holiday season approaches, many Pennsylvanians are likely to find cash in their stockings, fulfilling their top Christmas wish.
