Man Wanted in Multiple States Remains at Large

The search continues for Christopher Rodriguez-Gonzalez, 27, who is wanted on felony warrants in Virginia and Florida. On Monday (October 20), police in Carroll Township, Pennsylvania, issued a shelter-in-place order while searching for him. Rodriguez-Gonzalez is wanted in Northampton County, Virginia, for hit-and-run, fleeing and eluding, and 16 misdemeanor reckless driving charges. He also faces a felony warrant in Polk County, Florida, for grand theft of more than $750,000.

According to the Carroll Township Police Department, officers arrived at a home on Chestnut Grove Road after receiving a tip that Rodriguez-Gonzalez was staying there. However, he managed to escape through a back window with the help of a family member, who was later taken into custody for hindering apprehension.

Later that night, a homeowner in the South York Road neighborhood reported seeing a man matching Rodriguez-Gonzalez's description on surveillance video. This led to another shelter-in-place order as multiple police departments, K9 units, and an aviation unit searched the area. Despite these efforts, Rodriguez-Gonzalez was not found, and the search was called off.

Carroll Township Police have issued an arrest warrant for Rodriguez-Gonzalez, who is believed to have left the area. Authorities urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them immediately. Police do not believe he is armed.
