>>Winds Blow Roof Off Building

Severe weather struck York County, Pennsylvania, on Sunday (March 16), causing part of the roof to blow off a building in Fairview Township. According to WHP-TV, the metal structure sustained significant damage, though fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cost of the damage remains unknown.

The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area, with wind gusts reaching up to 60 miles per hour and nickel-sized hail. The warning was issued at 9:32 p.m. and expired around 10 p.m., as reported by The York Daily Record. The storm caused scattered power outages across York and Adams counties.

The severe weather was part of a larger system that led to tornado warnings in western and northern Pennsylvania earlier in the day. Residents are advised to stay alert as additional storms are possible through Monday morning.
