Over 1,000 Still Without Power in Lancaster County After Storms

Over a thousand residents in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, remain without power following severe storms over the weekend. According to the PPL Electric Utilities outage map, more than eleven hundred customers are still waiting for their electricity to be restored. At the peak of the outages on Sunday afternoon (March 16), nearly ten thousand Lancaster County residents experienced power loss.

The severe weather caused significant disruptions, but clearer conditions are expected today, offering some relief to the affected areas. PPL Electric Utilities has been working to restore power, utilizing their smart grid system, which can restore electricity to many customers within minutes before full repairs are completed.

Residents are advised to stay informed about their outage status through PPL Alerts, which provide notifications via text, email, or phone call. The utility company also reminds the public to stay at least 100 feet away from downed power lines and report them immediately to 1-800-342-5775.
