YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Two officers that were injured in a mass shooting at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York County Saturday have been released from hospital care and are expected to make a full recovery, according to an update from officials.
The Chief of Police for the Springettsbury Township Police Department released the following statement Tuesday:
This incident saw additional injuries to law enforcement and medical personnel and staff. The Springettsbury Township Police Department sends their thoughts and prayers to the injured officer from the Northern York County Regional Police Department. Happily, he was released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. Thank you for your bravery and commitment to the people of York County. My thoughts and prayers also go out to the victims and employees of UPMC. Your actions during this dangerous and terrifying event were nothing short of amazing.

They also mentioned that an officer with their department was released from Wellspan York Hospital, and is now at home recovering.
