Penn State Hershey Designated as National Guard Training Center
(Hershey, PA) -- Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is now the first National Guard Training Center on the East Coast, offering specialized trauma and deployment skills training. The 12-day program includes rotations in emergency and intensive care units, as well as EMS operations, culminating in a simulated mass casualty event. Officials emphasize both physical and mental health care for participants, who may be deployed for combat, disaster relief, or community support. This marks the third such center in the U.S.
