Tech mogul Elon Musk is set to host a town hall in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, this Saturday. The details of the location will be disclosed to ticket holders 24 hours before the event, according to Musk's America PAC website. The announcement comes as Musk pledges to give away $1 million a day to voters who sign his political action committee’s petition supporting the Constitution until the November 5 election. This move by the Donald Trump supporter has raised questions among some election experts who argue that it's a violation of the law to link a cash handout to signing a petition that also requires a person to be registered to vote.
In addition to his political activities, Musk has been in regular contact with Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, since 2022, the same year Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine. This connection, given Musk's extensive ties to the U.S. space program, has raised national security concerns among some American intelligence officials, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
Musk, the world’s richest man, has been a significant donor to GOP causes this campaign season, contributing more than $70 million of his personal fortune to help Donald Trump and other Republicans win in November’s election. His donation was made to America PAC, a super PAC he launched in May to boost Trump’s chances of winning back the White House during his third run for the presidency.
Yahoo News reports that Musk's town hall follows a similar event held by Trump at the Lancaster County Convention Center the previous Saturday.
