A 40-year-old man from Woodbine, Maryland, Robert Buck, has been arrested in connection with the theft of over $3,000 worth of fragrances from an Ulta Beauty store in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The theft took place on July 29, 2023, when Buck, along with two other men, allegedly stole various fragrances from the store. The trio was caught on surveillance footage gathering fragrances from shelves across the store and placing them in bags before leaving.
Buck was identified by multiple local police departments by comparing the surveillance footage with his Maryland driver’s license and prior booking photos from previous arrests. According to ABC27, Buck was arrested on August 31, 2024, after Manheim Township Police discovered that he was being held in Maryland at the Carroll County Detention Center. He was then transported to Lancaster County Prison.
Buck has been charged with one count of retail theft. He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Hess and was released on $50,000 unsecured bail. The case marks a significant development in the fight against retail theft in the region.
