>Western MD City Offering $20K Incentive For People To Move There
(Cumberland, MD) -- A western Maryland city is trying to lure more residents by offering an incentive program to anyone willing to relocate. The city of Cumberland will pay ten-thousand dollars to anyone who moves there from outside of Allegany County. The program also will pay up to ten-thousand dollars in matching funds for a down payment on a home or approved home renovations. There are several eligibility requirements, including employment verification and a home purchase agreement. Cumberland is located about 130 miles northwest of DC near the borders of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
