Little League World Series Begins Wednesday

The 2024 Little League World Series, one of the most anticipated events in youth baseball, begins today in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The tournament, which runs from August 14 to 25, features 20 teams from around the globe, including ten from the United States and ten international teams.

The tournament commences with a match between the Caribbean Region representative and the Mexico Region representative at 1 p.m. at Volunteer Stadium. Following this, the New England Region will face off against the West Region at 3 p.m. Eastern at Lamade Stadium.

The U.S. teams participating in the tournament include Hinsdale Little League from Illinois, South Shore Little League from New York, Council Rock Newtown Little League from Pennsylvania, Sioux Falls Little League from South Dakota, Paseo Verde Little League from Nevada, Salem Little League from New Hampshire, South Hill Little League from Washington, Lake Mary Little League from Florida, Boerne Little League from Texas, and Central East Maui Little League from Hawaii.

The tournament will also feature several special events, including the MLB Little League Classic, the Little League Home Run Derby, and the Challenger Division Exhibition Game. All games will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, or ABC, and can also be streamed on Watch ESPN and the ESPN app.

The Little League World Series has been held in Williamsport since its inception and will continue to be hosted there for this year's tournament. The games will be played at two venues: Howard J. Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium.
