>Pennsylvania's two U.S. Senators, Bob Casey and John Fetterman, have expressed contrasting reactions to President Joe Biden's announcement that he will not seek re-election. Senator Casey praised Biden for his dedication to improving the lives of Americans and always putting his country first. He also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic ticket, stating that she is prepared to be Commander-in-Chief and is the best person to meet this moment.
On the other hand, Senator Fetterman expressed frustration, claiming that Biden was "pushed out." He compared Biden's exit unfavorably to the continued presence in office of recently convicted New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez. "People pushed out an honorable man, loving father and a great president before an absolute sleazeball like Menendez," Fetterman said.
Fetterman did not make any public statements himself on Sunday and did not respond to requests for comment. He also did not mention Vice President Kamala Harris in his comments.
