State Budget Remains Unfinished After 4 Months

(Harrisburg, PA) -- It's been four months since the deadline to pass Pennsylvania's state budget has gone by. While some parts of the 45-and-a-half-billion-dollar budget have been enacted, much of its funding issues remain unresolved due to lack of agreement between the governor, the House and the Senate. So-called sequestered funding remains to be seen for programs that include 100-million-dollars for schools, 50-million for hospital and health system emergency relief, 100-million in American Rescue Plan dollars for mental health programs and 600-million-dollars for funding state-related universities.
