House Passes Bill to Expand State's Wiretap Laws to Parole Agents, DOC officers
(Harrisburg, PA) -- The state House has passed a bill that would extend wiretap laws until the end of 2029. Under the legislation, state parole agents and officers in the Department of Corrections would be allowed to wear body cameras. The legislation had also been amended to include a provision that would make it clear that a person who receives a scam telemarketing phone call can record the call. The measure now heads to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
