Legislation Would Establish Grant Program For Older People Who Re-Enter Workforce
(Williamsport, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Senate Education Committee has advanced a bill that would establish a grant program to help older adults re-enter the workforce. The Adult Education and Workforce Recovery Grant Program Act would make school districts, career and technical schools and adult literacy programs offer educational programs exclusively for adults. The department would award grants up to 500-thousand-dollars for qualified applicants. The bill now moves to the full Senate for consideration.
