Firebirds Blank Hershey Bears 5-0 In Calder Cup Game 1
(Riverside County, CA ) - The Hershey Bears hope to hit the reset button soon in their quest to win the Calder Cup Finals. The chocolate and white lost Game One Thursday night five to nothing against the Coachella Valley Firebirds in front of a sellout crowd in California. Hershey was without Ethen Frank for the fourth time in postseason play. Mike Sgarbossa and Vincent Lorio also missed the game due to injuries. Game Two Saturday night will again take place on the Firebirds' home ice but can be viewed on the Fox network locally. Local time for the start is 10 p.m.
