>>Ford Issues Three Recalls, Covers 350K Vehicles

(Dearborn, MI) -- Ford is issuing three separate recalls totaling around 350-thousand vehicles. The most pressing is a recall of 39-thousand Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUV's due to engine fires. The automaker says it has received 16 reports of an engine fire even when the vehicle was not running. Officials believe they isolated the problem to vehicles built between December of 2020 and April of 2021. Ford says the owners of these model vehicles should park them outside until repairs can be made. Ford also is recalling 310-thousand heavy-duty trucks because of a possible airbag failure and 464 Mustang Mach-E electric vehicles. A software problem can cause sudden acceleration or loss of power in all wheel drive vehicles.
