>>Leadership Harrisburg Area To Host Galactic Graduation Event At FNB Field

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Leadership Harrisburg Area is going to be hosting its Galactic Graduation Event at FNB Field this week. The event will be held on Wednesday from eleven-in-the-morning until one-in-the-afternoon at the field on City Island. Officials say about 400 individuals will be graduating at the event and Omar L. Harris will give a keynote speech called "From Servant Leadership to JEDI Leadership".

>>Carlisle Barbershop Shooting Kills One Person

(Carlisle, PA) -- One person is dead after a shooting broke out at a barbershop in Carlisle. The shooting occurred Saturday night at the GQ Barber Shop in the one-hundred block of North Hanover Street. Police say one person was pronounced dead at the scene and another victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.

>>One Person Injured After Train Collides With Car In York County

(Newberry Township, PA) -- One person is recovering at the hospital after their vehicle was hit by a train in York County. The accident took place Saturday morning in the 1,200 block of Cly Road in Newberry Township. Police say the driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital for serious injuries, but the train crew was uninjured. Newberry Township and Norfolk Southern police are still looking into what caused the collision.

>>Police Investigating Shooting Near Harrisburg School District's Prom

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Police are investigating a shooting incident that took place near Harrisburg School District's prom. Gunshots were reported Saturday at the Kline Plaza on South 25th Street around the same time the prom was being held in the high school building. Officials say no one was injured by the shooting and they do not believe it was related to the school function.

>>Lancaster County Crash Leaves Two Dead

(East Petersburg Borough, PA) -- Two people are dead after a crash took place in Lancaster County. The accident happened Saturday night at the intersection of Route 72 and Graystone Road in East Petersburg Borough. Police say a tractor-trailer collided with a pickup truck and both victims inside the truck were pronounced dead at the scene. The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department Crash Team is investigating the cause of the accident.

>>Two People Killed After Motorcycle Crash In Berks County

(Oley Township, PA) -- Authorities are investigating the cause of a motorcycle accident in Berks County that killed two people. The crash occurred Friday night in the area of Friedensburg and Wiest School Roads in Oley Township. Police say both the operator and a passenger of the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene.

>>One Person Killed After Vehicle Falls From Interstate In Berks County

(Greenwich Township, PA) -- One person is dead after a vehicle fell off of an interstate in Berks County. The incident happened yesterday morning along Interstate 78 in Greenwich Township. Police say 54-year-old Raymond Clause of Easton was pronounced dead at the scene after he lost control of his pickup truck and drove off the highway before landing on Old Route 22.

>>Berks County Man Accused Of Raping 12-Year-Old Girl

(Reading, PA) -- A Berks County man is being accused of raping a 12-year-old girl. Elder Jacobo-Portal is being charged with rape, two counts of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors. The Berks County district attorney's office says DNA collected from the victim matched that of Jacobo-Portal last month. He is being held at the Berks County Jail on a one-hundred-thousand-dollar bail.

>>Cumru Township To Get New Firetruck

(Cumru Township, PA) -- Cumru Township is going to be getting a new firetruck. The township's Board of Commissioners approved a lease agreement not to exceed $675,000 to purchase the new truck during Thursday's regular meeting. Fire Captain Jeremy Brubaker says the department will be selling an old firetruck acquired in 1995 for $18,000. The new truck will be 31-feet long and can carry up to one-thousand gallons of water.

>>State Trooper Fatally Shoots Northampton County Man

(Northampton County, PA) -- An investigation is being launched after a state trooper fatally shot a Northampton County man yesterday. Officials say state police were called to Williams Township around 2:30 yesterday after reports of a distressed woman screaming. When state troopers arrived a 55-year-old man allegedly confronted a trooper and was acting erratically. The trooper then fired two shots, killing the man. The distressed woman was not hurt. Officials say the trooper involved will remain on active duty as the investigation continues.

>>Man Facing Charges For Impersonating Officer

(Forty Fort, PA) -- A Lackawanna County man is facing multiple charges for allegedly impersonating a police officer. Police say on Saturday, they noticed an SUV that was decked out like an emergency vehicle driving around as if it were responding to an emergency. It even had flashing lights, sirens and the words "patrol" and "chief" on the side. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspect Adam Cottle, allegedly fled from police. Officers eventually caught up to him and he is facing charges of fleeing and eluding, impersonating a public servant, DUI and more.

>>COVID-19 Restrictions Ending Next Week

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania's COVID-19 restrictions are ending next week. Earlier this month, Governor Tom Wolf announced that all remaining restrictions except for mask wearing will be lifted on Memorial Day. Many Republican lawmakers have been pushing for the governor to lift restrictions before the holiday weekend, but Wolf is standing firm on his decision. Mask wearing will remain until at least 70-percent of Pennsylvania adults have been fully vaccinated. More than 51-percent of adults in the state are fully vaccinated.

>>Sixers Handle Wizards in Playoff Opener

(Philadelphia, PA) -- The 76ers have secured a one-to-nothing series lead following their playoff opening win. Philly beat the Washington Wizards yesterday 125-to-118 behind 37 points from Tobias Harris. Three other starters scored in double digits including 30 from Joel Embiid. The series will continue tomorrow night from the Wells Fargo Center.
