>>Aerial Spraying For Gypsy Moths To Begin

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Aerial spraying to battle gypsy moth outbreaks in Pennsylvania is going to be underway soon. The state's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced yesterday that the Bureau of Forestry will be overseeing the spraying of almost 150 sites totaling more than 203-thousand acres. The spraying will be done by helicopters and planes. Officials say gypsy moths are an invasive species that cause major habitat loss by killing many different types of trees including Oak, sweet gum, basswood, birch, aspen and willows.

>>Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board To Hold Limited-Release Lotteries For 28 Rare Whiskeys

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is going to be holding a limited-release lottery series that will give some vendors a chance to purchase over 200 bottles of 28 rare whiskeys. Those who are interested in joining the lottery are being asked to register on Fine Wine and Good Spirits' official website. The deadline to register is set for this Friday at 5:00 p.m.

(Manchester Township, PA) -- A York County Magisterial District Court is going to be temporarily closed because an employee recently tested positive for COVID-19. The York County Court Administration announced yesterday that the court located at 200 Rosedale Drive in Manchester will be closed until further notice. The employee who tested positive last worked in the building on April 23rd, and officials say they followed health and safety guidelines while inside. Other magisterial district court offices in the area will be handling any time-sensitive matters while the court is closed.

>>Exeter Township School District To Host COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

(Exeter Township, PA) -- Exeter Township School District is going to be hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic. The clinic will be held at the Lausch Administration Building in Saint Lawrence on May Fourth until May 6th from noon to 8:00 p.m. Walmart will be administering doses of the Pfizer vaccine at the clinic. Those who are interested in getting a vaccine are being asked to schedule an appointment by contacting the PA Link to Aging and Disability Resource Center.

(Lancaster, PA) -- Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster County is looking to hire about 200 more employees before the start of its summer season. The amusement park recently announced that the wage for positions that require an adult will now be starting at $12.50/hour. New and returning employees will also have the chance to receive a 2021 Basic Season Pass as long as they complete the hiring process by May 17th.

(Reading, PA) -- Comedian Jo Koy is going to be performing in Reading this fall. Koy will be stopping by the Santander Performing Arts Center on October 4th for his Just Kidding World Tour. Tickets are going to be on-sale starting at 10:00 a.m. this Friday on Ticketmaster's website.

(Reading, PA) -- Reading is preparing to launch a new project to improve the city's streets and infrastructure over the next couple of years. Mayor Eddie Moran's two-year, ten-million-dollar project plan was revealed during Reading City Council's meeting yesterday. Mayor Moran says the city's liquid fuels funds will be used to pay for the project.

(Reading, PA) -- Police are asking the public for help with finding a missing woman from Berks County. Thirty-seven-year-old Heather Karner was last seen March 12th in the area of 6th and Court streets in Reading. She is about five-foot-three-inches tall, weighs 115 pounds and has brown eyes. Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is being asked to contact the Reading Police Department.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The U.S. Census results are in, and Pennsylvania is losing a seat in the House after redistricting. There will be 17 representatives from Pennsylvania instead of 18. The state saw a population growth of about two-point-four-percent since 2010, which is behind the nation's population growth of seven-point-four-percent. Not only is Pennsylvania losing a seat in Congress, but it will also lose an electoral vote for the next presidential election and receive less money from the federal government.

>>State To Help Homebound Residents Get Vaccinated From COVID-19

(Reading, PA) -- The state is working to get homebound residents vaccinated from COVID-19. Governor Tom Wolf says these are people who have been particularly hard-hit by the pandemic as they were more isolated than everyone else. He added that the state is committed to finding every way they can to reach Pennsylvanians who cannot leave their homes and give them equitable access to the vaccine. The Department of Aging, Area Agencies on Aging, housing associations, nursing care organizations and community partners will be working to get these individuals vaccinated.

>>Doctors Report Seeing More Younger People In Hospital With COVID-19

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Doctors are reportedly seeing a rise in younger people being admitted into hospitals for COVID-19. Penn State Health's Dr. Peter Dillon says the spike they're seeing is in the 18 to 49-year-old category range. He added that few of them get placed in the ICU, but many from this age group have been experiencing more severe symptoms of the virus. Health officials say this is part of a nationwide trend that may be linked to a lack of vaccinations in younger people, COVID variants and participation in higher risk activities. Officials urge everyone, even younger populations, to get vaccinated.

>>Former Mahanoy City Cheerleader's Case Goes To U.S. Supreme Court

(Mahanoy City, PA) -- A former high school cheerleader from Pennsylvania is having her First Amendment case brought up to the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2017, Brandi Levy was upset about being kept on the junior varsity cheerleading team and posted a message on Snapchat that read "F-School, F-softball, F-cheer, F-everything." The Mahanoy Area School District responded to the then 14-year-old's post by suspending her from cheer for a year. Levy says the school shouldn't be able to punish her or other students for how they feel or saying how they feel. Her parents won their case in the lower courts, and it will be heard by the U.S. Supreme Court tomorrow.

>>Sixers Break Losing Streak

(Philadelphia, PA) -- The 76ers losing streak is over at four games following a 121-to-90 beatdown of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Joel Embiid led the way for Philly with 21 points and was one-of-six players to score in double digits last night. Philadelphia is now just one-game out of first-place in the Eastern Conference. Philly will welcome the Atlanta Hawks to the Wells Fargo Center tomorrow night.
