(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Mechanicsburg woman is accused of ramming a police cruiser in Harrisburg earlier this week. Skyler Fagan reportedly flagged down an officer near Second and Briggs streets Monday night, then rammed her vehicle into the cruiser with the officer still inside. It’s believed the 20-year-old was under the influence of narcotics at the time. The officer was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Harrisburg police are circulating the photo of a man they say flipped a shopping cart with a child inside. Police say it happened Monday afternoon, but they didn’t identify the business. The child was then taken from the store by an adult woman before the man left. Anyone who may know more about the incident is asked to contact Harrisburg police.

(West Hanover Twp., PA) -- Officials with the Dauphin County Conservation District say they have collected their first two positive West Nile Virus samples of the year. The samples were collected in Conewago and West Hanover townships. There are no human cases of West Nile reported in Dauphin County. County officials warn residents to eliminate standing water because the mosquitos thrive and replicate faster in warm, humid temperatures.

(Carlisle, PA) -- Carlisle police say they have found a missing 64-year-old man. Jeffrey Seago went missing Tuesday afternoon with police saying the man suffers from severe dementia and may not even recognize his own name. It’s unclear where the man was found.

(East Pennsboro Twp., PA) -- Central Penn College is planning a virtual commencement next month. The event celebrating their 394 graduates will be held on Saturday September 12th. The commencement will still feature the core elements of the ceremony, while being streamed for onlookers at the college’s website.

(Chambersburg, PA) -- A man is in the hospital after being shot in Chambersburg earlier this week. The 35-year-old was struck by a bullet while in a parking lot near West Liberty Street Monday night. It’s reported that several shots were fired, and the man had to be flown to York Trauma for treatment. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Chambersburg police.

(Derry Twp., PA) -- Derry Township’s supervisors are looking into getting rid of their local emergency dispatch to help cover a budget shortfall. Tuesday, they said they want to explore that possibility to help make up what is over a $1-million shortfall. A public hearing will be held in the future to discuss the proposal to potentially shift to the county call center.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Governor Tom Wolf says he cannot extend the state’s moratorium on evictions and foreclosures beyond the end of the month. Wolf says he doesn’t have the legal authority do so since the Emergency Services Code only allowed him to block those proceedings for a limited amount of time. It’s reported that Senator Jake Corman says Republicans are open to discuss a legislative fix.

(Reading, PA) -- Protesters gathered in front of Reading's city hall to show their opposition to the city's decision to switch to a single trash hauler. About 80% of residents in Reading use the city's provider. Last month, city council voted in favor of the single hauler system, but several private companies say this will cause them to lose almost half of their business. Some customers say they want a choice in the matter. Mayor Eddie Moran says he believes a single trash hauler will make Reading a cleaner city.

(Spring Twp., PA) -- A yearly Halloween celebration will go on in Spring Township. Supervisors approved a public-gathering permit for Shocktoberfest. The haunted scream park at Willow Glen Park will operate from September 11th through November 7th. Organizers said they will limit the number of guests to meet state guidelines while screening actors and workers every day. They also have a plan in place to notify guests of any potential exposure to COVID-19.

>>Reading Man To Prison For Deadly 2017 Shooting

(Reading, PA) -- A Reading man may spend over two decades behind bars for his role in the deadly shooting of another man nearly three years ago. Roy Shah pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, persons not to possess firearms, and delivery of heroin Tuesday and was ordered to serve up to 25 years in state prison. Prosecutors say Shah shot Elmer Maldonado on the 1,600-block of Perkiomen Avenue in December 2017 while the two were playing with a firearm.

>>Governor Tom Wolf Wants Recreational Marijuana Legalized

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf is calling on the state Legislature to legalize recreational marijuana. Wolf says 50-percent of the funds from the initiative would go to small businesses. He also proposed that part of the generated revenue go to justice programs that focus on repairing the harm done to crime victims and communities as a result of marijuana criminalization.

>>Peaceful Protesters Shot At By White Bedford County Man

(Schellsburg, PA) -- Tensions are high in Bedford County after a white man allegedly fired shots toward a crowd of over 50 civil rights protesters marching through as part of their pilgrimage from Milwaukee to Washington D.C. Police say the late Monday night shooting was allegedly sparked by an argument, which led to gunfire. Those participating in the march say otherwise, they disputed the police account and that there was no argument, they were about to start walking up a hill in the neighborhood when the man started shooting. One activist was shot in the face, but officials say he is okay and currently recovering in the hospital.
