A Williamsport police officer is recovering after being sickened while searching the vehicle of drug suspects. Police responded to the Turkey Hill on Washington Boulevard for possible drug activity yesterday and made contact with a Tannersville couple. The officer was searching the couple's car when he became sick, and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Police arrested Justin Volino and Laura Newhart after finding heroin, needles and possible methamphetamine inside their vehicle.
