Governor Tom Wolf is not giving up on a Marcellus Shale tax. Wolf is signing off on expanded gambling to help patch the budget deficit, but said yesterday that the legislature still needs to pass an extraction tax on natural gas drillers. The governor says he knows people are working behind closed doors to shut down a vote on the tax because they would rather see him fail than Pennsylvania succeed.
