Another Democrat is running for U.S. Representative Tim Murphy's seat. Conor Lamb launched his campaign Saturday saying it's time for new leadership. Lamb is the fifth Democrat to announce his candidacy. State Representative Jason Ortitay also announced yesterday that he is seeking the Republican nomination, joining at least three other Republicans. Murphy, a pro-life Republican, is stepping down at the end of the week following accusations he asked his mistress to have an abortion. He represents the 18th Congressional District, which includes portions of Allegheny, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
