The Harrisburg School District is asking parents to be aware of the recent lice outbreak. Administrators say informed and engaged parents are critical to ensure that lice and nits are not spread. A lice outbreak at Foose Elementary School last week left 100 students and five teachers infected. The school was closed Thursday and Friday and the Department of Health will be there to re-screen students today. The district has handed out more than a thousand lice treatment kits.
