Money's being raised for Bill Wolfe

The Shippensburg community is coming together to remember one of their own and to raise money for the family he leaves behind.

Bill Wolfe was one of the victims of the Las Vegas massacre and he leaves behind his wife and two children.

Whether it’s raising money, praying for the family, or coming up with ways to carry on his legacy, this community is doing everything they can to support Wolfe’s loved ones.

CBS-21 reports HH Chevrolet in Shippensburg is just one of several businesses raising money for the family. They’ve started an internal fundraiser and they’ve pledged to match every dollar donated.

That money will go right to Bill’s wife and two kids to help them get through this.

One of the organizers of the fundraiser says he’s known Bill for 15 years, as a coach, a friend, and a customer and he wanted to show his support.

"He coached my grandson in little league and never at any time in any game that I went to did I ever hear him raise his voice to the kids they just loved him," said Rick Thomas, a service consultant at HH Chevrolet.

"The family are customers of the dealership so we just felt like we needed to do something to help out."
