A Philadelphia City Councilman is introducing legislation to deal with squatters. The bill David Oh introduced yesterday would lay out procedures for police to deal with people who move into a property they have no claim to. It also calls for a 300-dollar-a-day penalty for violators. Oh called them trespassers who are committing a criminal act, adding that the thought that Philly has a "Squatters' Rights Law" is an urban myth.
