PennDOT says Veterans Memorial Bridge is safe to use. A chunk of decorative concrete fell from the span, which runs between Columbia and Wrightsville, yesterday morning. Some debris fell onto Front Street and a large column was left hanging by a piece of rebar. PennDOT says the concrete was not part of the structure's support system.
