The state Public Utility Commission is reminding people in the 7-1-7 area code that mandatory ten-digit dialing starts Saturday. Callers in the 7-1-7 area will be required to dial the area code even for local calls. Officials say people will need to reprogram their stored numbers to include the area code in order for one touch dialing to work. A new 2-2-3 area code is being added to the current 7-1-7 coverage area.
