State Auditor General Eugene DePasquale is pushing for legalized recreational marijuana in Pennsylvania. DePasquale said Monday that tax revenue from legal marijuana could help balance the state budget. He also claims it could help in the opioid crisis too saying, "Marijuana is a much safer alternative than opioids. So the connection I'm drawing is there are times when people will smoke marijuana as a way to reduce their pain (instead of turning to opioids)."
