An Adams County businessman is not going to build a harness race track and casino in Freedom Township. David LeVan announced this week that he will not submit an application for a gaming license. Levan says although he still believes a gaming project would benefit the economy and create thousands of jobs, he cannot move forward with his plans for "Mason-Dixon Downs." He cited the "uncertainty surrounding the gaming expansion legislation in Harrisburg" as a factor in his decision.
