York City is looking into decriminalizing marijuana. City council members introduced an ordinance last night that would levy a fine on anyone found in possession of 30 grams or less of the drug. A first-time offense would cost 100 dollars but the fines would increase for a second or third offense, with a fourth bringing criminal charges. Council plans to vote on the ordinance at its meeting next month. West York voted no to a similar ordinance on Monday.
