"Real ID" advances to the PA Senate

Legislation to bring Pennsylvania into compliance with the federal Real ID Act is on its way to the Senate.  The state House approved bill yesterday.  It would give people the option to get a Real-ID-compliant identification card if they wanted to pay for it.  If the state does not become compliant, a Pennsylvania driver's license will eventually not be sufficient to board a commercial aircraft.
