A Harrisburg man is behind bars for allegedly killing his elderly stepmother. Rodney Deavers is accused of holding Martha Watson against her will in her home for several months. Police were called to the North Front Street residence last month and found Watson wrapped in a blanket on the floor covered with bruises. She told officers Deavers beat her daily and strangled her. She died ten days later.
