The President and his administration are being sued by Syrian families with Allentown ties after family members weren't allowed into the country. The Assali family filed the lawsuit with the ACLU of Pennsylvania, among other representatives. Ghassan and Sarmad Assali of Allentown have been trying to bring family members with approved visas to the U.S. since 2003. The family members were sent back to the Middle East over the weekend from Philadelphia. An online fundraiser already has nearly 19-thousand dollars of its 35-thousand-dollar goal to help bring the family to Allentown.
