Group Would Pay $20 Per Hour For Harrisburg School Monitors

(Harrisburg, PA) -- An advocacy group is looking for community members to monitor Harrisburg students as "trusted adults." Harrisburg's district's receiver has approved the initial plan for the pilot program known as "Safe Passages." The adults would monitor the city's main high school to support children during lunchtime as well as arrival and dismissal bell times. The program would pay monitors 20-dollars-per hour to help oversee the students. The overall plan still needs to be finalized.
