SDoL Moves to Virtual Learning

All School District of Lancaster students will return to school in a virtual learning environment this fall, after the school board voted to postpone the hybrid plans.

There are no changes to the district’s schedulediPad distributionat each school building. Students will need these devices to engage in virtual learning. We are pleased to be able to provide one device per student this year.

The district is rescheduling the third virtual town hall toThursday, Aug. 13 at 6 p.m.The presentation will outline the expectations of students during virtual learning. Special education town hall meetings, planned for Aug. 4 and 5, will be rescheduled as well.

“We intend to implement our hybrid model as soon as we are able to do so in a safe manner,” superintendent Dr. Damaris Rau said. “We know that our students do better when they engage with our staff in person.”

Families who applied for or are considering enrollment in ourCyber Pathways Academydue to health concerns, should consider if they would be comfortable sending their children into a classroom setting when the district implements the hybrid model.
