For over 100 years the Bethesda Mission has been housing the homeless and helping them transform their lives. For over 3 years the Mission has been over capacity....housing nearly twice as many as the beds they have.
Something had to be done so that they could continue their true mission of providing long term recovery to the ones who want it. They sent out a distress call and asked for help to house the many homeless and help has arrived with Downtown Daily Bread and other fine area agencies.
Executive Director, Scott Dunwoody and Bill Christian, Men's Mission Director join me to talk about this new partnership and why now more than ever they could use the help of the community.
The Bethesda Mission receives NO GOVERNMENT AID, and relies solely on the generosity of you the community. Any amount of donation can help. And they need volunteers. People who can sit and listen, people who can drive the mission van, and other areas.
