>>MUSC Using New Experiment For Alzheimer's
(Charleston, SC) -- South Carolina researchers are working on a treatment that could someday slow the process of Alzheimer's. The Medical University of South Carolina is using an experimental treatment involving a magnetic pulse on the brain. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is also used to treat depression. Researchers say the treatment is not expected to cure the disease, but only ease progression. The study is partially funded by the Alzheimer's Association.
