A boil water advisory remains in effect for Veolia customers in Dauphin County due to a water main break over the weekend. The break, located on Linglestown Road, led to a loss of positive water pressure, raising concerns about potential contamination. The advisory affects parts of Susquehanna Township and some areas in Lower Paxton Township.
Veolia has completed repairs, but customers may still experience discolored water. The company advises residents to flush their cold taps until the water runs clear. As a precaution, residents are urged to use boiled or bottled water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and food preparation.
According to ABC27, the advisory impacts several roads in Susquehanna Township, including Laurelwood Drive and Linglestown Road. Veolia will notify affected customers once the advisory is lifted. For assistance, residents can contact Veolia’s customer service at 888-299-8972.
The company has also indicated that normal water pressure has been restored outside the main break area. However, the advisory remains as a precaution to ensure the safety of the water supply.
