Tickets are now on sale for the National Hockey League's return to Hershey, Pennsylvania, later this year. The Washington Capitals will face off against the Philadelphia Flyers in a preseason game at the GIANT Center on Monday, September 21, at 7 p.m. This marks the second consecutive year the Capitals will play at the home of their American Hockey League affiliate, the Hershey Bears.
The Hershey Bears and the Capitals have enjoyed a longstanding affiliation that began in 2005. Last season, 14 players on the Capitals roster had previously played for the Bears. The Capitals' head coach, Spencer Carbery, and several staff members have ties to Hershey, having worked with the Bears in various capacities.
The GIANT Center has hosted NHL preseason games five times, with last year's event being the first since 2006. The Capitals defeated the Flyers 5-1 in front of a crowd of 10,420 on September 25, 2025. The game featured two sets of brothers, Dylan and Matt Strome, and Aliaksei and Ilya Protas, playing for the Capitals.
Tickets for the upcoming game are available online through Ticketmaster and Hershey Entertainment. There will be a presale for Hershey Bears and Washington Capitals season ticket holders.
