Child Charged In Stabbing, Robbery

A ten-year-old boy is facing serious charges after allegedly attempting to rob a Dollar Tree store on Paxton Street in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred on Monday evening (June 29), when the child entered the store brandishing a fixed-blade knife and demanded money from an employee. During the altercation, a store employee was stabbed multiple times while trying to subdue the boy, according to the Swatara Township Police.

Upon arrival, police found the juvenile suspect being detained by store employees. The injured employee required medical treatment for the stab wounds. The child has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of an instrument of a crime. He is currently held in a secure detention facility pending court proceedings.
