A second man has died following a shooting at Lancaster County Central Park in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred on Wednesday (June 24) and involved two men found with gunshot wounds. Kevin Lucas, 47, from Lititz, was pronounced dead at the scene, and his death has been ruled a homicide. The other individual, Brandon Cunningham, 32, from East Hempfield Township, was transported to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, where he died from his injuries on Friday (June 26). The Lancaster County Coroner's Office determined that Cunningham's death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound, ruling it a suicide.
The shooting took place around 6:30 p.m. near Williamson Road and Rockford Road, with Lancaster Township Police and Lancaster County Park Rangers responding to reports of shots fired. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing.
Authorities are working to piece together the events leading up to the incident. The Lancaster County Coroner has confirmed the identities and causes of death for both individuals involved.
