The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, during severe weather on Sunday (June 14). The tornado, with winds between 90 and 100 mph, began near Kirkwood and moved into Colerain Township, causing significant damage but no reported injuries.

According to a CBS 21, the tornado struck at approximately 9:32 p.m., snapping tree trunks and large limbs along Wesley Road in Little Britain Township. The storm continued into Colerain Township, damaging trees and power poles on Noble Road and Kirkwood Pike.

Local resident Camille Gracey described the storm's impact, saying, "I got my husband to come out and take a look with me, and then I said, ‘Oh my gosh, I think that’s my greenhouse in the cornfield.’" The Gracey property suffered damage, including a broken bedroom window and displaced patio furniture.

The NWS uses the Enhanced Fujita Scale to assess tornado severity, with EF-1 indicating wind gusts of 86 to 110 mph. This tornado was one of several confirmed in Pennsylvania during the storm, with others in Centre, Warren, and Potter counties.

The NWS continues to assess damage in Lancaster and York counties, with further details expected soon. CBS 21 reported that the storm caused widespread damage across the state, leaving thousands without power.
