The York County Coroner's Office was called to Codorus State Park on Monday (June 8) as the search for a missing paddleboarder continued. The individual was last seen on Saturday (June 6) during a storm at Lake Marburg.
According to Local 21 News, the search began after several water rescues were conducted on Saturday evening. A dive team and a med-evac helicopter were deployed to aid in the search. Despite the efforts, the missing person has not yet been located.
The Evening Sun reported that Lake Marburg was closed to the public during the search. The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission are investigating the incident, which involved an individual on an unpowered watercraft.
The search efforts are ongoing, and the lake is expected to reopen for normal operations on Tuesday (June 9).
