In McVeytown, Pennsylvania, a man is facing charges after allegedly vandalizing a local grocery store. On Thursday (May 28), Pennsylvania State Police arrested Timothy Peachey, 33, for reportedly pouring oil on a vending machine and rubbing raw chicken on the entrance of McVeytown Market. The incident took place on May 17 on East John Street.
The oil caused significant damage, estimated at over $10,000, to the vending machine and its contents. Peachey was charged with criminal mischief, a third-degree felony due to the extent of the damage, as well as misdemeanor disorderly conduct and a summary offense for scattering rubbish. He has been released on bail and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
The motive behind Peachey's actions remains unknown. According to WHP, Peachey's court docket indicates that he will soon face a preliminary hearing to address the charges against him.
