An investigation into alleged student misconduct is underway at Manheim Central School District in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Superintendent Ryan Axe confirmed the investigation in an email sent last Friday (May 22). The district has contacted child protective services and the Manheim Borough Police to address the allegations.

According to LancasterOnline, the district is committed to a thorough review based on facts, not speculation. Superintendent Axe emphasized the importance of protecting student privacy and complying with reporting obligations. As educators are mandated reporters, the district took immediate steps to report any suspected child abuse, as required by state law.

Manheim Borough Police Chief Jason Riggle confirmed that the police department was informed of the allegations by Manheim Central High School. However, due to the active investigation, the police could not provide further details, as reported by FOX43.

The district, which enrolls more than 2,700 students, has nearly 900 students at its high school, according to the state Department of Education data. Local21 News reported that the district made a public statement on Thursday (May 21) confirming their cooperation with authorities and their commitment to a fact-based review.
