Gas prices in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, have seen a decrease this week, providing some relief to local drivers. According to AAA, the average price of regular fuel in Harrisburg is now $4.43 per gallon, which is six cents lower than last week's price. In comparison, the average cost of a gallon of regular fuel in the entire state of Pennsylvania is currently $4.60.

The national average for regular gasoline stands at $4.491 per gallon as of today, according to Empower. This drop in prices comes amid a period of fluctuating gas prices across the country, influenced by various factors such as geopolitical events and supply chain dynamics.

Despite the decrease in Harrisburg, gas prices remain high compared to other regions. For instance, states like Oklahoma and Kansas enjoy lower average prices, with Oklahoma at $3.38 per gallon and Kansas at $3.47. Meanwhile, states like California and Hawaii continue to experience the highest prices, with averages of $5.84 and $5.67, respectively.

As the summer travel season approaches, drivers in Harrisburg and across the nation will be keeping a close eye on gas prices, hoping for further decreases. AAA continues to update gas prices daily, reflecting changes in the market.
