A 16-year-old, Tarojay Taylor, is facing serious charges after a shooting at an after-prom party in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, on Sunday (May 10). The incident occurred at the Summit View Apartment Complex, where a large group of minors had gathered following Harrisburg High School's prom. Taylor, from Penbrook Borough, is accused of shooting a teenage girl, leaving her with serious injuries.
Authorities have charged Taylor as an adult with attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and other firearm-related offenses. The Swatara Township Police Department reported that Taylor is currently in custody and will be arraigned at the Dauphin County Booking Center.
The victim, a 16-year-old girl, is still recovering from her injuries. The police are actively investigating the incident and have urged anyone with information to contact them at 717-564-2550.
The shooting has raised concerns about safety at teen gatherings and the presence of firearms at such events. As the investigation continues, the community remains on alert for further developments.
