Janelle Stelson wins the Democratic nomination in Pennsylvania's 10th District, defeating Justin Douglas. She will face Republican Scott Perry in November. Stelson's campaign focuses on affordable health care, higher wages, and reducing living costs. Perry highlights tax reductions as a key difference.

The 10th Congressional District is a key battleground as Democrats aim to retake control of Congress. Without President Donald Trump on the ballot, Democrats hope to capitalize on potentially weaker Republican turnout. Stelson, endorsed early by Governor Josh Shapiro, has primarily focused on Perry, significantly out-fundraising Douglas in the process.

Chris Gebhard wins the Republican primary for Pennsylvania's 48th State Senate District, defeating Clovis Crane. The race was marked by significant spending and attention due to its implications for state legislative control. Gebhard's victory secures his position as the Republican candidate in the general election.

Gebhard's victory ensures that he will remain the Republican candidate in the general election, where no Democrat is running, effectively securing his seat in the state Senate. The election results highlight the ongoing battle for control within the Pennsylvania legislature, as Republicans aim to maintain their long-standing majority in the Senate.

Tom Jones emerged victorious in the Republican primary for Pennsylvania State Senate District 36 on Tuesday (May 19). Jones, who previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, defeated fellow Republican Jere Swarr, a former township commissioner. This win positions Jones to face Democratic incumbent James Malone in the upcoming general election on November 3.

Jones, a Lancaster native, has a background in local government and business. He has served as the chairman of the East Donegal Township board of supervisors and was involved with the Susquehanna Regional Police Department and the Maytown/East Donegal Township Fire Department. His campaign focused on his experience and commitment to serving the community.

Jason Richey, a Pittsburgh-area attorney, has emerged victorious in the Republican primary for Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania. On Tuesday (May 19), Richey defeated former UPS executive John Ventre, securing his place on the ballot for the upcoming general election scheduled for November 3, 2026. Richey emphasized his legal background and private-sector experience as key qualifications for the role, positioning himself as a strong governing partner to Republican gubernatorial candidate Stacy Garrity.
