Residential Facility Employee Accused Of Giving Child Controlled Substance

An employee at a residential facility in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, is under investigation for allegedly giving a 15-year-old boy a controlled substance. The incident reportedly occurred on April 14 at a facility in Quincy Township. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the boy felt "jittery" after taking the pill and shared it with a roommate.

The staff member involved has been placed on leave while the investigation is ongoing. The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services confirmed that the incident took place at a licensed provider, not a DHS-operated facility. No charges have been filed yet, and the investigation continues.

A few days after the initial incident, on April 21, police were called to the same facility regarding another staff member allegedly providing THC vape pens to residents, including a 17-year-old girl. It remains unclear if the same employee was involved in both incidents.

The case is attracting attention due to the serious nature of the allegations and the potential impact on the safety of residents at the facility. The Pennsylvania State Police are actively investigating these incidents to determine the appropriate course of action.
